This builder came to RDS looking for a partner to provide flooring products and quality installations for their homebuyers. They were also looking for help with options management, as they didn’t have a system in place to handle this. They were familiar with RDS’s reputation for outstanding customer service and wanted to explore a partnership.
We met with the owner of this company to get a sense of their needs and together we identified areas where we could assist. The relationship started with an individual community as a trial basis, providing flooring products, installation services along with window coverings and options management (specifically handling walls and counters). The builder was happy with the service they received on the initial community and made the decision to expand the relationship.
This builder has been a partner of ours for nearly thirty years and the relationship continues to grow. What started out as supplying flooring and installation, window coverings, and options management has grown to include finish carpentry and shower doors and mirrors (essentially a majority of their labor and material needs). Not only did we expand the products and services offered to their homebuyers, the number of communities we now support has grown to include nearly 50% of the houses they build in Southern California. This builder continues to be a solid partner for RDS and has been a source of many referrals throughout the years.
